Denim Stars Quilt pdf Pattern

The Denim Stars Quilt is a great way to use up those “vintage” jeans.  These make great memory quilts.  Use the loved one's pants or jeans for the denim part, and use their shirts for the flannel or regular fabric part. 
 
The individual block creates a star, but when the blocks are sewn together, there is a secondary star design.  That’s why it’s name is Denim Stars—with an “s.”  The light, medium and dark shades of denim give it a 3-D effect.   

Another great thing about this quilt, is that when it’s done, it’s done.  There’s no quilting or tying to do afterwards.  

The pattern gives instructions for making many different size quilts, with instructions for 6-inch, 7-inch and 8-inch octagons.  The 7-inch template can be used with 5-inch charm squares.  You can purchase laser cut acrylic templates in all three sizes to help you cut all of that denim.
